Health insurance for employees went up 7.95 percent; all employee groups will receive a 3.75 percent base salary increase.
The Nebo District budget provides for an increase of 240 students. It is based on a projected 25,004 student enrollment next year.
Broken down, the budget allows for about $5,149 to be spent per student.
Provo School District
Provo School District's Board of Education adopted a $103 million budget for next year. The budget includes funds from a $35 million bond and a $1.5 million leeway increase recently approved by voters.
The money will phase in over the next three years. The first year, nearly $9.3 million will be issued.
Kerry Smith, the district's finance administrator, said that money will be spent on construction projects at Sunset View Elementary, Provost Elementary and Centennial Middle School, as well as heating, energy and seismic projects throughout the district.
The leeway money would be used to reduce class sizes at high schools by hiring new faculty. Enrollment is projected to be about 13,000.
