"I'm not going to lie," said Gorneault. "(Hitting for the cycle) crossed my mind ... The good news is that we did a good job shutting them down there at the end and we got the 'W.'"

The Bees home stand finished with them earning series victories over both the Las Vegas 51s and the Rainiers and going 5-2 overall.

"We've enjoyed playing at home. We've been playing really well at home," said Harper. "Hopefully, now this will be a good trip for us."

He was talking about the eight-game trip the Bees will start today with four games in Omaha and four more in Iowa.

BEES WAX: Salt Lake's Dallas McPherson was recalled by the parent Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim after the game. He entered Monday's outing having hit at least one homer in each of his previous four games and nearly made it five in a row, but his fly ball was caught against the right field fence in the fifth inning. McPherson was hitting just .235 for the Bees, but he leads the PCL with 20 extra base hits ... The Bees scored nine runs on just six hits for the game. Four of those hits were for extra bases, however. Attendance was 4.045.
