As in the past, Swanson worries that some of the artists juried out of the show will be bitter about the experience. "We had to jury out so many marvelous pieces," he said. "It breaks your heart to see excellent artists not in the show, who have entered excellent pieces. In fact, some of the artists that didn't get in will certainly become part of the 100 Most Honored group one day."

The diversity of the exhibition pieces is due to Springville's efforts to show as many styles as possible. One gallery has modern, post-modern, abstraction, etc. Another has visionary, metaphysical, metaphorical work. "Then there's a cowboy, Western room," Swanson said, "where you get a lot of wildlife and Western landscapes."

Visitors to the 82nd Annual Spring Salon will be amazed at the images encountered. Due to the exhibit's diversity, there will be something for everyone.

And even if you find something not to your liking, you can rest assured that someone else will find that particular piece to be the best in the show. That's the nature of the Spring Salon.

As for me, I liked it all.
