MURRAY — Kim Gamblin never expected to be playing basketball two weeks after her high school season ended.

"I never even dreamed of having this opportunity," said Gamblin after she and the other 5A senior All-Stars defeated the 4A All-Stars 80-76 at Murray High School Friday night. "I never thought I was this good . . . I loved it! I loved playing with such talented players."

Gamblin was sad to see her senior season end after helping Riverton to the quarterfinals of the 5A tournament.

"I was so happy to go to All-Star practice," she said. "I didn't want it to end."

Gamblin led all scorers in the game with 15 points. The game was close the first 12 minutes, but after that 5A controlled the game. Clearfield's Haley Hall, the 5A MVP, added 13 points, while Hillcrest's Alisha Pfau scored 12 points.

Murray's Keshia Catten led the 4A scorers with 14 points, while 4A MVP Krista Farr added 11 points.

View; Chelsey Brown, Timpanogos; Jaime Judkins, Skyline; Sialei Lolohea, West Jordan; Ashley Washburn, Clearfield; Alisha Pfau, Hillcrest; Kim Gamblin, Riverton; Amy Dunford, Davis.
