BYU professor to speak about science, religion

PROVO — J. Ward Moody, a professor in the department of physics and astronomy and director of the physical science program at Brigham Young University, will be the speaker at the March 31 Hyrum B. Summerhays Lecture on Science and Religion.

His 7 p.m. address, which will be in the Joseph Smith Building auditorium, is titled "Time in Scriptures and Science: A Conciliatory Key?" Moody's lecture will focus on the debate between science and religion on such topics as the Earth's creation. He will also discuss the possibility of reconciling the different time lines.

Admission is free and the public is welcome.
