Hatch makes nominations for academies

Sen. Orrin Hatch has decided on his latest nominations from Utah for U.S. military academies in Colorado, Maryland and New York.

As a U.S. senator, Hatch can recommend candidates for the military academies.

The nominees to the Army, Navy, Air Force or Merchant Marines academies include:

Derek Wright, Springville; Sarah Hughes, Pleasant Grove; Jonathan Wright, Sandy; Jonathan Moffat, Park City; Thomas Wood, Park City; Andrew McMinimee, Salt Lake City;

David Cloward, Salt Lake City; Charles Clausen, Salt Lake City; Heinrich Mokofisi, North Salt Lake; Jay Goold, Draper; Robert Mashburn, Draper; Kaitlin Berrett, Draper; Heather Leedom, Clinton;

Charles Sperry, Kaysville; Michael Wilcox, Layton; Dwayne Abbott, Hyrum; Curtis Hansen, Hyde Park; Anthony Gonzalez Rush Valley; Zachery Vu and Simon Ferrel.
