A 13-year-old boy was accidentally shot while with a group of adults hunting rabbits in northern Utah Saturday.

The six member hunting party from Weber County was in an area just west of Yost when the teenager was shot by one of the adults with a .22-caliber gun in the upper left shoulder, according to the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office.

He was listed in stable condition Saturday evening at Bear River Valley Hospital.

The investigation into the shooting was continuing Saturday.
