HCR3 sponsored by Rep. Neil Hansen, D-Ogden, flew through the Utah House on Wednesday.

The resolution calls for more education for minors on the dangers of tobacco, alcohol and drugs.

Hansen's resolutions urges public educators that take advantage of state's "Safe and Drug Free School curriculum."

But there is irony in Hansen's resolution and all the "yea" votes that passed HJR3: many House members accept political contributions from alcohol and tobacco firms.

Hansen himself accepted $300 from the parent firm of Philip Morris in his 2004 re-election and $350 from two beer groups in 2002.
