Fairbanks shines as women hoopsters play Cougars tough

With averages of 14.6 points and seven rebounds, Fairbanks leads the Wolverines in both categories.
They said it
"Life has just a crazy way of making a circle. We were in our same locker room the (current) visiting locker room is the locker room that we used to have when I played here. I have great memories of BYU I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into my time here, and I have a lot of respect for this program. . . . but I'm thrilled to be at Utah Valley now." Nixon, remembering her seven years in the BYU basketball program four as a player, three as an assistant coach following Saturday's loss to the Cougars. With 1,771 points, Nixon is BYU's fifth all-time leading scorer. Saturday marked the first time she has coached against her alma mater in a regular-season contest.
