CLEVELAND — Raheem Moss scored 18 points, including the 3-pointer that forced overtime, and Cleveland State defeated Utah Valley State 70-69 Tuesday night.

The Vikings (3-5) nearly blew a six-point lead in the final minutes of OT, winning when Sylvestor Allison missed a layup at the buzzer.

"Cleveland State played hard and made a big shot at the end," Utah Valley State coach Dick Hunsaker said. "I am proud of our players. They played hard and with a competitive spirit through regulation and overtime. We had a shot at the end, and it rolled around the rim and fell Cleveland State's way."

Moss' 3-pointer with five seconds remaining in regulation tied it 62-all. Russell Wesley missed a 3-pointer at the regulation buzzer for Utah Valley State (5-6).

Patrick Tatham had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Vikings, and J'Nathan Bullock had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Five players scored in double digits for Utah Valley State. David Heck and Chris Bailey each had 15 points. Allison had 14 points, Ben Devoe had 13 and Matt Peterson added 10.

The Wolverines had a 30-28 lead at the half and led by as much as 13 with 12:11 to go in regulation. The Vikings then went on a 16-4 run to close to 56-55 with 4:50 to play.
