Two new communications jobs in Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.'s office have been filled.

Lisa Roskelley and Doug DeVore joined the office Monday — Roskelley as communications coordinator and DeVore as legislative assistant. Both will report to deputy chief of staff Mike Mower, who also serves as the governor's spokesman and legislative liaison.

Roskelley had been a reporter with the Standard-Examiner since May 2002, covering military issues, transportation and the Legislature. She has a bachelor's degree from Weber State University and is finishing a master's degree in public administration at the University of Utah.

DeVore, who graduated from the U. College of Law in May, had worked for the Utah Attorney General's Office as a law clerk in the tax division. He earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and is a former intern for House Speaker Greg Curtis, R-Sandy.

The changes to Huntsman's communications staff follow the departure of Tammy Kikuchi as his spokeswoman. Kikuchi, who was hired by the governor shortly after he was elected last year, is leaving to become director of communications for the Department of Natural Resources.

In addition to Roskelley and DeVore, the communications staff also includes communications assistant Lindsay Mueller.
