2 finalists for chief of Ethnic Affairs
Diaz said two finalists for the new sub-cabinet position will be forwarded to Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr.'s office this week. She declined to disclose who the two top candidates are.
Diaz said qualifications include "a strong passion and knowledge" for the ethnic communities. The director will provide direction and oversight for the offices of Black, Asian, Hispanic and Pacific Islander affairs, and administering the office's new strategic plan.
Luz Robles is serving as acting director in the governor-appointed position. The hourly pay listed for the post ranged from $23.27 to $34.95.
