The machines are also more friendly to those with disabilities in other ways, Herbert said, such as the ability to adjust their height to fit those in wheelchairs.

Of the 392 polling locations surveyed in 2004:

28% in full compliance with accessible parking standards.

30% in full compliance for accessible routes into buildings.

46% in full compliance for accessible entryways.

54% in full compliance for accessible interior doors and access routes.
