Toll possibilities include 5 roads, 6 'HOT' lanes

Since the close of the 2005 legislative session, lawmakers have had several meetings to discuss the possibility of toll roads in Utah.

UDOT was asked to provide those lawmakers with a list of roads they think could be viable as toll roads in Utah.

Five roads were listed with potential for tolling; six with potential for "high-occupancy toll" lanes.

Possible toll roads:

    • Northern Corridor, St. George

    • U.S. 6, I-70 to I-15

    • U-68, Goshen to Salt Lake County

    • Mountain View Corridor

    • U-73, Mountain View Corridor to I-15

Possible HOT lanes:

    • I-15, Provo to Payson

    • I-15, Farmington to University Avenue

    • I-215, southwest quadrant

    • I-215, southeast and northwest quadrants

    • U-201, I-80 to I-15

    • I-80, I-15 to Parleys Way
