BOUNTIFUL — Summerfest artist Paul Tanner was born and raised in Bountiful and received his bachelor's in anaplastology, the field of creating artificial anatomy. He said the majority of his art is tied to biology in some way. He is fascinated with life and the human form and enjoys painting portraits. His exhibit is called "Inspirations of Life."

"The people that I paint have usually influenced me in some way. I love to create effects of multiple layers by transposing translucent layers. I like having the ability to create different styles and not be confined or limited to a particular style," Tanner said.

Linda Dalton Walker is a Utah native who received a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and master's from Utah State University. Linda has been painting professionally for 15 years, but has been photographing and sketching people and places most of her life. She has been displayed in many local galleries as either a one-woman show or a group show and has won many awards. Her exhibit is called "Reclaiming the Lost Feminine."

"The essences of my paintings are archetypical and symbolic in nature. If I can strike a chord in the soul of the viewer, and if I can help the viewer consider different points of view, then I feel my paintings are worthwhile," Walker said.
