In an effort to improve operations, Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert is attempting to streamline his office.

Most of the changes will be internal realignments, according to a news release, resulting in some "dramatic" shifts. Most notably, the Elections Office and Public Notary and Authentications Office will be combined into the less ambiguous Office of the Lieutenant Governor.

A number of employees will also be shuffled to different jobs in the effort to improve efficiencies. The changes will happen over the next few weeks.
