Hill Air Force Base

Current mission:

• Maintenance of F-16 Fighting Falcon, C-130 Hercules, A-10 Thunderbolt

• Maintenance of Minuteman III and Peacekeeper intercontinental ballistic missiles

• Hosts the 388th Fighter Wing, 419th Reserve Fighter Wing, Defense Information Systems Agency, Utah Test and Training Range

Deseret Chemical Depot

Current mission: Destroys chemical munitions in a billion-dollar incinerator

Changes to mission: To be closed

Current mission: Hosts members of the 96th Regional Readiness Command of the Army Reserve

Changes to mission: Command will become deployable war-fighting unit

Tooele Army Depot

Current mission: One of four top-tier munitions storage sites

Changes to mission: None announced

Changes to mission: Establishes two Centralized Intermediate Repair Facilities from realigned bases in other states

Dugway Proving Ground

Current mission: One of Defense Department's main facilities for developing defenses against biological and chemical attacks

Changes to mission: None announced
