The Utah Constitutional Revision Commission is looking for a new citizen member.

The commission is responsible for reviewing modifications to current language in the Utah Constitution or any proposed additions to the state's constitution. Their decisions are considered by legislators and the governor when deciding whether to put a change on the ballot.

The commission is made up of 16 members. The governor, speaker of the House and president of the Senate each appoint three members, six are selected by the commission members and one is an ex officio member. Citizen members are appointed in such a way as to provide geographical and political balance.

Interested applicants should contact Jerry Howe, 538-1032, for more information. Applications are accepted through May 27 for the volunteer position.
