YOUR STUDY OF THE DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS MADE EASIER, Part One, Section 1 through 42, by David J. Ridges, Cedar Fort, 335 pages, $21.95, softcover. The author uses his 35 years of experience teaching in the LDS Church Educational System to write a guide that may be useful for LDS readers.
BECOMING CHRIST'S CHILDREN OF THE COVENANT, by Douglas T. Bentley, Cedar Fort, 238 pages, $15.95, softcover. This is a book about the LDS plan of salvation, written much like a lesson manual and including multiple, lengthy quotations, mostly from scripture. The author has been an LDS seminary teacher for 24 years.
AN HONEST HEART, by Richard M. Siddoway, Bonneville Books, Springville, 242 pages, $14.95, softcover. A Utah educator for 40 years, the author was trained in biology and has served in the Utah House of Representatives. The novel is about a young woman, Jennica, who makes religious mistakes and then travels a road to repentance.
