No Child Left Behind developments

U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings announces states will have greater flexibility to implement No Child Left Behind, so long as they show required improved achievement.

More special-education students can take tests geared toward their abilities instead of the same tests as other students their age.

Rep. Margaret Dayton, R-Orem, wants to continue her bill challenging the federal reach into Utah schools.

Spellings is coming to Utah Friday, April 15, to visit schools and talk with state leaders about Utah's additional requests for NCLB flexibility, including using U-PASS to satisfy its requirements.
