What is the Workers Compensation Fund?

WCF was created in 1917 to protect Utah workers by offering insurance for medical costs and wage compensation for on-the-job injuries.

What is the issue?

Over the years, legislation has designated WCF as a quasi-public corporation. At issue is whether or not the state has control over WCF's budget and injury insurance fund, which serves 30,000 workers from private and state employees in Utah.
