Roadwork OK'd: House approves $100 million for Utah

• $2 million for the Sandy TRAX station at 94th South

• $6 million for the Southern Corridor access road to a proposed new St. George airport and $8 million for the Red Hills Parkway

• $7 million for Bingham Junction Boulevard in Midvale

• $2 million for Holladay Village Center pedestrian improvements


Among projects funded in the 1st Congressional District:

• Box Elder County will get $4.5 million for improvements to the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge access road.

• Brigham City will get $2.5 million for improvements to Forest Street, a major east-west road in Brigham City, providing access to the James V. Hansen Interpretive and Education Center located at the eastern edge of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.

• Kaysville will get $4 million for construction of a graded crossing at 200 North, which currently is unsafe and does not allow for the efficient flow of traffic between east and west Kaysville.

• Weber County will get $2.1 million for improvements to U-158 at the Pineview Dam.

• Tooele County will get $1 million for design, environmental work and right of way acquisition for the Midvalley Highway.

• Nibley has been awarded $1 million for improvements to 3200 South at U.S. 91.

  • Logan will get $900,000 for a project that will connect two existing city streets to provide a north-south arterial roadway, thereby relieving congestion on nearby U.S. 89/91.


    Among projects funded in the 2nd Congressional District in southern Utah:

    • $6 million for the Southern Corridor access road to a proposed new St. George airport and $8 million for the Red Hills Parkway

    • $3 million for the Virgin River Bridge in Washington city and $1.25 million for Santa Clara Drive

    • $7.5 million for the South Moore cutoff road in Emery County

    • $1.3 million for paving the Navajo Mountain Road to Navajo Mountain School, $200,000 for the Halchita to Mexican Hat road, $325,000 for the Montezuma Creek road, $175,000 for Aneth, and $250,000 for 500 West improvements in Moab
