Hail to the chief

In honor of all those past presidents, we've gathered up some facts, figures and trivia

Thank President Richard Nixon for the Presidents Day thing. According to Infoplease, in 1971, when the Monday Holidays Act went into effect, Nixon proclaimed it a day to commemorate all past presidents, not just Lincoln and Washington. It was an idea not intended or authorized by Congress, but it took hold with the public. And that's what most people celebrate today.

So, in honor of all those past presidents, we've gathered up some facts, figures, trivia and put together a presidential quiz honoring all the men who have led our country.


Tough presidential trivia

1. Middle names have become pretty standard since Franklin Delano Roosevelt's time, but as many of our presidents have not had middle names as have had them. Name the presidents with these middle names:
