Jazz woes: Readers weigh in on what's wrong with team
Idaho Falls
Season's a nightmare
I have been a Jazz fan for almost 10 years. I think a lot of fans are totally disappointed about this season. First, defense is not good enough. Their opponents can score easily. Second, poor point guard and shooting guard (play). Third, there are a lot of fatal turnovers. Fourth, some players are not worth their big contracts. I think this season is a nightmare for Jazz fans.

Jazz miss 'Big O'
I hate to mention this, but could it be the loss of Greg Ostertank? Defense has been a definite problem this season, and 7-2, 280 pounds creates a formidable obstacle whether he's trying or not.

Teams are feasting on Jazz
Jazz players lack a commitment to defense and often fail to get stops when the game tempo increases down the stretch. Many average players, like Gerald Wallace, have career games against the Jazz.
There is no "go to" guy offensively that can get you a basket when it is needed the most. When the Jazz were successful they had superstars who could make plays when needed. They do not have that now. Even Andrei Kirilenko is not this type of player. It is an entire team full of "role" players.
