A controversial resolution involving financial institutions, which has been stalled for more than a week in the Senate Rules Committee, finally has a home.

HJR1 was sent to the Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee on Tuesday after multiple days of delay by members of the Rules Committee. Previously, the resolution had been held despite attempts to send it to three other committees.

HJR1 asks Congress to look at the rules for financial institutions, especially the tax-exempt status of credit unions. It passed the House after almost a weeklong debate.
