Sundance Film Festival speculation half the fun
Advance sleuthing helps you choose the must-see movies

"Enron: Ask Why," director Alex Gibney's examination of the Enron financial scandal, heads up the films in Sundance's documentary competition, along with "After Innocence," directed by Jessica Sanders; Paul Provenza's "The Aristocrat"; "The Devil and Daniel Johnston," Jeff Feuerzeig; "The Education of Shelby Knox," Marion Lipschutz and Rose Rosenblatt; "The Fall of Fujimori," Ellen Perry; Eric Black and Frauke Sandig's "Frozen Angels"; "Mardi Gras: Made in China," David Redmon.
Henry-Alex Rubin and Dana Adam Shapiro's "Murderball" rounds out the Documentary Competition slate, along with Greg Whiteley's "New York Doll"; "Ring of Fire: The Emile Griffith Story," Dan Klores and Ron Berger; "Romantico," Mark Becker; Hank Rogerson's "Shakespeare Behind Bars"; "Trudell," Heather Rae; "Twist of Faith," Kirby Dick; and "Why We Fight," Eugene Jarecki.
In addition to the premieres and competition films, Sundance also screens movies in its American Spectrum, Frontier, World Cinema and Park City at Midnight sections, along with an equal number of shorts, as well as workshops, parties and special screenings.
