After hearing of their plight, family friend and artist Julie Young created a Christmas card. Local printer Excel Graphics printed 8,000 for free.

Cards are $1 each or $10 a dozen. All proceeds go toward Colby's treatments.

So far the family has sold more than 4,000 cards, but they're anxious to sell the remaining 4,000 by Christmas so the family can begin planning the first of many possible trips to Poland.

"She's starting to get to the age when the taunting and teasing begin," Tracey Christensen said. "We're trying to do all that we can while she's young."

How you can buy cards or make a donation

Colby's Christmas cards can be purchased online at www.nowican.org. Tax deductible purchases or donations can be made through Lifehope Foundation at www.lifehopefoundation.org.
