Jazz RMR team includes Lopez
Corbin, who just last month left his post as player development manager with the New York Knicks to replace Kenny Natt as the Jazz's No. 3 assistant coach, will serve as a co-coach with Gordie Chiesa for Utah's entry in next week's 11-team Rocky Mountain Revue.
The summer-league club features three regulars from last season's roster in backup point guard Raul Lopez, reserve center Curtis Borchardt and combo guard Mo Williams, plus the Jazz's top two picks in last month's NBA Draft, forward Kris Humphries and guard Kirk Snyder.
Lopez and Borchardt are under contract; Williams is a restricted free agent, but the Jazz hope to re-sign him.
"It's a great chance," Corbin said Thursday, "to get to know these guys and get my feet wet."
Natt recently left Utah to join the Cleveland Cavaliers coaching staff.
Also on Jazz's Revue roster is popular point guard Jermaine Boyette, who lasted long into last season's training camp before being cut by Utah.
The Weber State product played part of last season in Poland.
Revue camp for the Jazz opens Monday. Revue play gets under way next Friday at Salt Lake Community College and runs through July 24.
Meanwhile, Jazz basketball operations senior vice president Kevin O'Connor said Thursday that instead of playing on Utah's Revue team, Jazz unrestricted free agent big man Michael Ruffin will play this month for Washington's summer-league team.
