RIBBIT, RIBBIT.

"Frogs: A Chorus of Colors" will be at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City from May 29-Oct. 5. More than 200 critters from around the world will be on display, ranging from the tiny golden mantella to the huge African bullfrog. The centerpiece of this colorful collection is the vivarium housing poisonous dart frogs. www.amnh.org

MUSEUMS A PLENTY.

Story continues below
The new Web site www.museumpass.com< is a one-stop shop for museum passes and transportation passes for Paris, Lyon and the French Riveria, as well as London, Rome and the Rhine River Valley in Germany. A museum pass gets you into participating museums without waiting in line to purchase a ticket. If you use it diligently, you will also save money over regular admission. A transportation pass gives you unlimited access to public transportation during a specified time period. The only hitch: You have to redeem your Internet voucher at a specified location in your destination city. Which leads us to ask, why not just buy the passes when you're there?

DISCOUNTS IN COSTA MESA, CALIF.

Southern California attracts vacationing Utahns like crickets attract seagulls. The inland city of Costa Mesa is offering an incentive for you to make it your base of operations: If you book a two-night minimum stay at one of seven participating hotels, you'll receive a $30 rebate on your airfare (present a copy of your e-ticket) or $30 toward gasoline. You'll also get a $30 per night dining certificate good at 15 participating Costa Mesa restaurants. These promotions are called "Fly and Dine on Us" and "Drive and Dine on Us." Hotel rates may be as low as $99 a night. Restrictions may apply. www.costamesa-ca.com; 800-399-5499.

POINT REYES LODGING.

Thanks to a scenic coastline, a seal and sea-lion habitat and a historic lighthouse, this northern California spot is one of our favorites. Check out lodging at www.ptreyes.com.
