"Searching and pondering the meaning of symbols," said Dawn Pheysey, the show's curator, "whether literary or visual, can result in edifying and meaningful experiences for the participant."

Just as the parables and metaphors of scripture engage the reader with multiple layers of meaning, the visual signs and emblems in these works can open other levels of inquiry, said Pheysey.

Artists participating in the exhibit are David Linn, Ron Richmond, David Hoeft, Galen Bell Smith, Brian Kershisnik, Jacqui Larsen, Sean Diediker, Carin Fausett, Mandi Mauldin Felici, Kurt Becky and Ashley Knudsen.
