Orlando was within five, 87-82, when Steven Hunter scored on a putback dunk at the third quarter buzzer. That sent the officials to the videotape before they confirmed it came before time expired.

But the Magic did not score again until Drew Gooden hit two free throws with 4:19 left in the game.

That's when Blount came out. The victory in hand, the crowd cheered on its way out of the building.

WIZARDS 111, HORNETS 106, OT: At Washington, Gilbert Arenas scored eight of his 35 points in overtime, and the Washington Wizards recovered after blowing a 21-point second-half lead.

Arenas made a pair of 3-pointers and a pair of free throws in the extra period as the Wizards scored more points in the five-minute overtime (15) than they did in the entire fourth quarter (10).

Jarvis Hayes, starting for injured swingman Jerry Stackhouse, added 16 points for the Wizards, who shot 52 percent and have won three of four.

Arenas, flourishing since his 3 1/2-quarter shooting boycott last week, made 11 of 24 shots and had 10 assists and four steals. He is averaging 30.3 points in three games since declining to shoot for most of a game at Toronto, a response to teammate Kwame Brown's complaints that the team was becoming too selfish.

Baron Davis scored 18 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, and added 11 assists for the Hornets. Jamal Mashburn scored 28 points, and Jamal Magloire had 18 points and 14 rebounds before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. New Orleans has lost four straight road games.

The Hornets rallied by turning up the defense in the second half. Seventeen of the Wizards' 21 turnovers came in the second half, and New Orleans outscored Washington 24-10 in the fourth quarter.

BULLS 92, CAVALIERS 81: At Chicago, Kirk Hinrich continues to impress, this time outplaying his more-heralded rookie counterpart to lead the Chicago Bulls.

Two days after becoming the first rookie with a triple-double this season, Hinrich came close to a second with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. He had 11 points during a critical third-quarter spurt and made several shots worthy of a highlight reel — including a rare dunk.

When Hinrich left the game with less than a minute to play, Bulls fans gave him a standing ovation.

LeBron James had 18 points, but he shot just 7-of-17 with three rebounds and three assists. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Cleveland, which lost for only the second time in six games. Carlos Boozer had 13 rebounds.

Hinrich has been on a tear recently with the triple-double and a season-high 25 points on Feb. 21. But facing James seemed to bring out his best.

After Cleveland trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half, Eric Williams cut Chicago's lead to 55-45 on a layup with 8:30 left in the third. But the Bulls wouldn't let them get any closer, thanks in large part to Hinrich.
