Idaho man wins News contest

Alex Bolinger of American Falls, Idaho, is the winner of the Deseret Morning News "Cover a Jazz Game Contest."

Bolinger and two guests will meet Deseret Morning News Jazz beat writer Tim Buckley Saturday night in the Delta Center press room for dinner prior to the game. After dinner, Bolinger will have his picture taken with a Jazz player and will be interviewed on KFNZ's "Jazz Talk." During the game, he will sit on press row alongside sports writers and watch as the Jazz square off against the Atlanta Hawks.

The pressure begins after post-game interviews as Bolinger writes his report of the game on deadline. His coverage will be published in the Sunday morning edition of the Deseret Morning News.

The second-place winner, Joel Mitchell of Provo, wins a Club Suite Night to a regular season game for eight guests.

The 10 third-place winners, who each receive a Utah Jazz cap, are Gerald Narciso, Kevin Rawlings, Matthew Nagel, Daniel Berube, Brenda Stolzfus, Mark Crowder, Kyle Nelson, Eldon Brough, Alan Mitchell and Shad West.

Entries were received from as far away as Brazil, Maryland, Connecticut and Florida.
