Sculptor Cordell Taylor, recipient of the Mayor's Artist Award in 2002, works on "Order to Chaos," a painted fabricated steel sculpture (recently completed) located in the median island on 400 South between Pierpont Avenue and 300 South, near Pioneer Park. Funded by the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City, Taylor developed the work to reflect the many industrial and railroad-related activities in the immediate neighborhood. By placing the sculpture in the median, pedestrians and drivers alike can experience the piece. Dave Starks and Lenka Konopasek assisted Taylor in the designing and construction of "Order to Chaos."
