Joslyn Art Museum: The building itself is an art deco masterpiece. Once you set foot inside, you'll find the Maximilian-Bodmer collection particularly interesting. The museum also has a works by El Greco, Degas, Monet, Bierstadt, Pollock and Segal. A temporary exhibition of Andrew Wyeth's Helga Pictures will be displayed through Aug. 4. The paintings in this famous series depict her clothed and nude.

The museum, and all that's in it, is a sight for sore eyes.

Iowa

Prairie Trail Museum and the Heritage Barn: The town of Corydon is near the spot where William Clayton wrote the words to the hymn "Come, Come Ye Saints." In honor of that, the museum has a Mormon pioneer display that was installed by the LDS Church. But the museum also has displays pertinent to the history of southern Iowa. Next door is the new Heritage Barn with a collection of antique farm machinery and replicas of the workings of an Iowa farm of yesteryear including a blacksmith shop, a chicken house and a horse stall.

Pick up a map showing the directions to Tharp Cemetery, where there are Mormon pioneer graves, and Locust Creek Camp No. 2, where the words to "Come, Come Ye Saints" were written.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays; 1 to 5 p.m Sundays (June-August); open 1 to 5 p.m. the rest of the year

Admission: $3 per adult; $1grades 7-12; 50 cents kindergarten through 6th grade

Directions: On State Highway 2 on the east end of Corydon
