OREM — Orem police aren't getting any closer to identifying a woman who stole a grocery cart full of food, and they're eliciting the public's help.

Police say in November, a woman had been shopping at Wal-mart, 1355 S. Sandhill Road, and was pushing a cart full of hundreds of dollars of purchased groceries out to her car.

However, before she loaded in the food, she got into her car to do something else, said Orem Police Lt. Doug Edwards.

While the woman was distracted, a Hispanic woman driving a green sedan pulled up near the cart and, with the help of her two children, grabbed the groceries and put them in her own car.

The woman also snagged the victim's purse and cell phone, which had been left in the cart.

Wal-mart security video then shows the woman parking her car and entering the store to do more shopping, Edwards said.

Anyone who recognizes the woman or has information is asked to call detective Mike Dutson at 801-229-7081.
