NHL-leading Bruins break losing skid, beat Senators

THRASHERS 4, DEVILS 0: At New Jersey, Ilya Kovalchuk had a goal and an assist, and Kari Lehtonen made 29 saves for Atlanta's first shutout of the season. Colby Armstrong, Jim Slater and Marty Reasoner also scored for the Thrashers. Lehtonen has 12 career shutouts.

CANADIENS 6, MAPLE LEAFS 2: At Montreal, Andrei Kostitsyn had a goal and two assists, and Jaroslav Halak made 30 saves in Montreal's third straight victory. Sergei Kostitsyn, Maxim Lapierre, Guillaume Latendresse, Alex Kovalev and Max Pacioretty also scored for the Canadiens, 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. Tomas Kaberle and Matt Stajan scored for Toronto.

PANTHERS 4, HURRICANES 2: At Florida, Jay Bouwmeester and Nathan Horton scored early in the third period to break a tie, and Florida snapped Carolina's winning streak at four games. David Booth had a goal and an assist, Gregory Campbell added an empty-net goal, and Tomas Vokoun made 30 saves. Anton Babchuk and Sergei Samsonov scored for Carolina.

PREDATORS 5, PENGUINS 3: At Nashville, Tenn., the Predators overcame an early three-goal deficit to hand the free-falling Pittsburgh Penguins another loss.

Ryan Suter's power-play goal at 9:04 of the third period broke a 3-3 tie, and the Predators beat the Penguins 5-3 on Thursday night to snap a five-game losing streak. Pittsburgh has lost six of its last seven games.
