"He has been one of the best players we have ever had at West Jordan High School," Morgan said. "He's going to have an outstanding career."

The four commitments Andersen has received in the past couple of days are the first known additions to the Aggies' program since Andersen was hired a few weeks ago.

"You can tell he means exactly what he said," Morgan said about Andersen's pledge to be more involved in recruiting Utah athletes to Utah State.

Larsen, who Jacobson said has an older brother returning from an LDS mission shortly and might be joined by that brother at USU, was impressed not only with Andersen but with Utah State's increased commitment to football.

"The upgrades they've made up there," Jacobson said, "with the new locker room and weight room and the coaches, with those upgrades, they made a big impression on him."
