Utah Jazz: Miles' hot hand leads to big confidence boost

On the offensive side, though, Boozer said it's a huge bonus when the Jazz can get games like this from guys, like Miles, who aren't exactly being counted on to carry the scoring load. For one thing, it could make teams think twice about double-teaming him.

"That keeps them on their toes a little bit," Boozer said.

Miles said his big night was partly possible because he recently changed his attitude to have more confidence in himself even if he misses some shots. He was also grateful his teammates trusted him with the ball.

"They found me. I just cut, kept moving and just played off of guys," he said. " I'm not demanding the ball or anything like that. Guys see somebody's playing well, they find you. I thank the guys on the team for that for getting the ball to me."

They'll thank him for making the shots — if, that is, they can find a seat open next to Mr. Popular when he's on the bench.
