Glass artist Dale Chihuly opens Rhode Island school gallery

A new gallery space devoted to student-curated shows is also bringing graduates and undergraduates together in a dialogue that's never happened before, the gallery's director Mark Moscone said.

CHIHULY EXHIBIT AT RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN MUSEUM OF ART: 224 Benefit St., Providence, R.I., www.risdmuseum.org/ or 401-454-6500. The Chihuly exhibit will be in the Chace Center through Jan. 4. Open Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (and until 9 p.m. the third Thursday of each month). Adults, $10; children 5-18, $2; RISD students and staff, free; students of other colleges, $3 with ID. Admission is pay as you wish every Sunday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and free from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month and on the last Saturday of each month except December.
